Notre Dame College
Notre Dame College (NDC for short) is a higher secondary and undergraduate educational institution established and run by the clergy of the Holy Cross Sannyas Sangha in Dhaka.
The college was established at Laxmibazar in Dhaka on 3 November 1949 by the then Archbishop Lawrence Grenner and the Roman Catholic clergy at the invitation of the government in East Pakistan to establish the college after the partition of India.
In 1954, the college was shifted to Arambagh under Motijheel police station near Kamalapur railway station and the college was named Notre Dame College after Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ.
Although the French phrase “Notre Dame” means our majestic woman, Notre Dame College has been a full-fledged boys’ educational institution since its inception.
It is open for the study of students of all religions and communities and since its inception most of the students are Bengali Muslims. According to the statistics of 2019, 85% of the students of the institution are Muslims.

Dhaka Commerce College
Dhaka Commerce College is a higher secondary and postgraduate college located in Mirpur, Dhaka. Established in 1989, it is the first college in Dhaka City which specializes in commerce.
Students can take education in both Bengali and English versions. The main founder of this college is Professor Kazi Nurul Islam Farooqui.
In 2012, Dhaka Commerce College was awarded as the best private college in Bangladesh. Higher secondary courses for science have also been started in the 2012-2020 session.
In order to apply for admission in higher secondary courses, a minimum GPA of 3.50 is required in the SSC examination.
According to the National University’s policy for admission to honors courses, an average GPA of 4.00 is required in both SSC and HSC examinations. And admission to the Masters is determined based on the results of the Honors

Dhaka City College
Dhaka City College is one of the oldest colleges in Bangladesh located on Kudrat-i-Khuda Road in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The college is affiliated to the National University of Bangladesh.
The college was established in 1957 during the rule of Pakistan under the patronage of local academics and social workers. Ataur Rahman Khan and Khan Bahadur Abdur Rahman both made special contributions to the establishment of the college.
Khane Alam Khan, former chairman of the steering committee of the college, while he was the divisional commissioner of Dhaka division, provided financial assistance for the development of academic buildings.

Rangpur Cantonment was started in 1978 by laying the foundation stone of Brigadier MA Latif. The college was originally established to facilitate the education of the officers of Rangpur Cantonment and the children of the area.
The school branch started here in 1978, the college started in 1981 and the degree level started in 1995. English medium education started in 1993.

Abdul Kadir Mollah City College, Narsingdi is ranked 6th among the top 10 colleges in Bangladesh. The college is located at Basail in Narsingdi district on the west side of the Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
Abdul Kadir Mollah established the college under his own name in 2006 in Narsingdi.
It has a two-storey administrative building, four academic buildings, a prayer room, a common room, a canteen, a guest room, a state-of-the-art science laboratory, and an ICT lab.

Adamjee Cantonment College
Adamjee Cantonment College is an educational institution located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is run by the Bangladesh army. The college originally started as a school on February 17, 1960.
The institution was established under the overall supervision of the Army and with the funding of the late Gul Mohammad Adamji, an industrialist, in the style of the original public schools in England, Eaton, and Harrow.
Before independence, English was the medium of instruction in this college. For this reason, the first two principals of the college were British citizens. After independence, Bengali became the medium of instruction.
In 1995, the Adamjee Cantonment College branch was separated from the school branch. At present, science, humanities, and business are taught in the higher secondary classes here. There are also Honors and Masters courses in English, Economics, Political Science, Accounting, and Management.

Viqarunnisa Noon School and College is a reputed college for girls in Bailey Road, Dhaka. The school was established in 1952 by Viqar Un Nisa Noon, wife of the then Governor of East Pakistan, Feroz Khan Noon, with the aim of starting a modern educational institution for girls in Dhaka. The school was later named after her.
The school’s activities are centered on Bailey Road, its main branch. However, three separate branches have been set up under the same administration which are located in Dhanmondi, Azimpur, and Bashundhara residential areas of the capital.

Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College
Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College is an educational institution located in the Jalalabad Cantonment area near Sylhet city in Bangladesh. It is approved by the Sylhet Board of Education.
The college was established by the Bangladesh Army in 1999. It received the certificate of the President of Bangladesh in 2004 as the best educational institution.
Its principal is a lieutenant Colonel rank officer of the Bangladesh Army. If an officer of the rank of Lt. Colonel is not available, a skilled and experienced civilian is appointed as the Principal.
